Advice for students: Although transitioning into this next phase of life can be scary, remember that you are not alone. Your community has great support systems that want to help you succeed, no matter your goal.
Hometown and High School: Mount Clemens & Chippewa Valley High School
Alma Mater: Wayne State University
Degree: Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Global Health and Social Medicine
Hobbies and Interests: I enjoy reading books that expand my knowledge of self-awareness, financial literacy, and overall success in life. I also love working out, doing Pilates, and playing sports like volleyball and basketball. I enjoy new activities and ventures, such as traveling, cooking, and any other activities that broaden my experiences.
Favorite College Access Topic: FAFSA and Scholarships. Really, anything that makes college more affordable for students.
Why I Became a College Adviser: I became a college adviser to gain professional growth and experience toward my goal of becoming a counselor. As a foster youth, I lacked support for higher education, but my counselors and social worker guided me and provided resources. Now, I want to offer the same help for students as they navigate their own journeys.
