About TEC
TEC: Building the workforce
one student at a time
Preparing you for your future
The St. Clair County Technical Education Center helps students develop skills they will use in their chosen careers. TEC students apply the math, science, and language arts skills they learn in high school to their career-related training program. TEC also helps students develop a road map for life after graduation. Successful TEC students will be certified and ready to begin their careers or take advanced training. Successful TEC students can enroll at four-year universities, two-year community colleges, or technical schools and institutes. They can participate in an apprenticeship or enlist in the military. They have the skills, experience, and career plans to be whatever they choose to be.
TEC students have the opportunity to earn three distinct certifications which validate Technical Skill, Academic Skill, and Employability Skill attainment.
TEC is part of RESA’s Design 4 the Future initiative. The initiative’s goal is to ensure each St. Clair County student graduates from high school well-prepared, passionate about their future, and has a plan to pursue that passion.
